Your assumptions are your windows on the world. Scrub them off every once in a while, or the light won't come in.

Isaac Asimov

In its typical fashion, Goodreads has served me some pretty packed words. The quote above came at the perfect time today, because honestly, truly...... I feel myself slacking.

I feel like I came into the new year so strong and amped, excited and energetic...... just to have it all fizzle as I woke up late this morning. Don't get me wrong, I started off the day with devotion ( staying true to the commitment to getting back to the Word) and that left me inspired. However, I can't help but feel like I wasted this entire day. Why is it so easy to get distracted?????  I think that one of my major issues is falling into the trap of thinking I can make up what I missed today, tomorrow.  Too often do I say this, just to let tomorrow go up in flames as well. I almost didn't write this post.... just because of laziness. Ridiculous. This cannot fly. Period.

Does anyone out there have a natural remedy to procrastination?

On a more optimistic note, this day wasn't completely terrible. I set up an appointment with my bank because I've decided that it's time for me to accept my age and responsibilities when it comes to financial matters. I'm 20 now and it's about time that I start acting like it. I told this to my Dad and he practically jumped for joy. But seriously, I just don't think it's fair to my parents when I constantly rely on them, regardless of having a job. My goal for this splendid year of '17 is to strengthen my credit score, while maintaining healthy savings, checking, and credit accounts. Additionally, I really want to learn more about investing. It's so intimidating whenever I try to research it, however the fearful don't eat and I'm hungry.

In regards to Vegetarian 2017, I've started off strong. Grocery shopping is really one of my most favorite pastimes. I could spend forever and a day in there.

Prayerfully, tomorrow will be a better, more productive day.
